Finally Above the Normal High Temperature since Oct. 3rd
October
After two weeks below the normal high temperature, we finally made it back above that mark today. The daily climate report from the National Weather Service reports that today's normal high temperature today is 58°, while on October 3rd it was 64°F. In two weeks, that normal high temperature has dropped 6°F since October 3rd. This means, although it feels warm, we are still cooling off and getting closer to winter. As you've probably noticed in the mornings lately, be cautious about the cold overnight temperatures. In fact, in the last 24 hours, our mesonet stations recorded temperatures as low as 28°F. Make sure you bundle up in the morning, even if it warms up in the afternoon.
