According to the National Weather Service, June, July, and August combined is ranked 8th wettest summer on record with 17.40 inches of rain at the MSP Airport. Let’s look and see how that compares to a few of our mesonet stations: Medina, maple Grove, and Plymouth. Both the Maple Grove and Plymouth stations were not installed until a week had already passed in June meaning we could have seen even higher rainfall amounts for those two stations!
