Warmer End to February

The beginning of February was chilly, but Hennepin County gradually warmed up throughout the month. The average maximum temperatures during the second half of the month were at least double those during the first half. Yesterday’s high temperatures reached as high as 49°F in the southern part of Hennepin County. Similar to last year, Phil, the groundhog, saw his shadow on February 2nd, so we might be in for three more weeks of winter.
